Kondova is a rental listings site in the Philippines, focused on Metro Manila. Listing is free. Two optional paid services sit on top of it.
Why this exists
Every rental site in the country is an archive. Nobody takes a listing down when a unit rents, so renters spend their evenings messaging about places that went four months ago, and owners compete with ghosts. A smaller list that is all real is worth more to both sides than a big one that is mostly dead.
What we do
We review every listing before it goes up. Bait pricing, photos that are not of the unit, duplicates and already-rented units do not make it on. When a unit rents, the listing comes down that day.
How we earn
Not from listings, and never from renters. Owners who want a unit promoted pay ₱699 for two months. Owners who want the tenant handled pay ₱1,499 a month, or 8% of rent received above ₱20,000 rent. That is the whole business model.
How we work
Remotely, as the agent. We coordinate vetted vendors and the building admin by message and confirm every job with photos. We do not do site visits, and we say so rather than implying a presence we do not have.
What we are not
We are not a broker and we do not hold anyone's money. Rent goes to the owner's account, the deposit stays where it is, and we invoice separately. There is nothing of yours sitting with us.
